CUB Term and Conditions

By completing the CUB membership registration you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Age Requirement
Membership is open to individuals who are 19 years of age or older. By registering you confirm that you meet this requirement. CUB reserves the right to request government-issued photo identification at any time to verify age. Entry will be refused to anyone unable to provide valid ID confirming they are 19 or older.
2. Cannabis Consumption
CUB operates a licensed cannabis consumption lounge. Cannabis consumption is permitted only within designated areas and only by members who are 19 or older. Members are responsible for consuming responsibly and in compliance with all applicable provincial and federal laws. You must not consume cannabis and drive.
3. Responsible Consumption
CUB is committed to the wellbeing of all members and guests. Members are expected to know their limits and look out for those around them. CUB staff reserve the right to refuse service or entry to any individual who appears impaired beyond a safe level.
4. Transportation
We strongly encourage all members to arrange safe transportation to and from CUB. Please consider using a designated driver, taxi, rideshare service, or public transit. Do not consume cannabis or alcohol and drive.
5. Personal Safety and Conduct
Members are responsible for their own safety and the safety of those in their care. CUB operates a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment, discrimination, aggressive behaviour, or any conduct that makes other members or staff feel unsafe. CUB and its staff reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any individual whose behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others, without refund or obligation.
6. Photography and Media
Events and activations at CUB may be photographed or filmed for promotional and archival purposes. By consenting to photography during registration you grant CUB permission to use images or footage in which you may appear for promotional purposes including social media, website content, and marketing materials. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us at admin@cubspot.ca.
7. Privacy and Data
Your personal information is collected for the purpose of membership administration, event communications, and improving the CUB experience. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting admin@cubspot.ca. CUB complies with applicable Canadian privacy legislation including PIPEDA.
8. Liability
CUB, its organizers, staff, volunteers, and partners are not liable for any injury, loss, theft, or damage incurred during or as a result of attending CUB events or accessing CUB spaces, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law. Members attend and participate at their own risk.
9. Membership Suspension or Termination
CUB reserves the right to suspend or terminate a membership at any time if a member violates these terms, engages in behaviour harmful to other members or staff, or if required to do so for legal or regulatory reasons. Members may cancel their membership at any time by contacting admin@cubspot.ca.
10. Changes to These Terms
CUB may update these terms from time to time. Members will be notified of material changes via email. Continued use of your membership following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
